Terms of Service (Groypin) Effective date: October 15, 2025 Operator: Groypin (“we,” “us,” “our”) Contact: support@groypin.com 1. Acceptance & Eligibility By creating an account, joining a map/community, or using Groypin’s apps, websites, or APIs (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (16+ in the EEA/UK). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you’re authorized to bind it to these Terms. 2. The Service (What Groypin Does) Groypin lets people create and join maps (public or private), place pins, post messages/media, and participate in communities with roles (e.g., owner/admin/mod/member). The Service is self-hosted by Groypin to keep data in-house. Features may evolve and can change, suspend, or end at any time. Encryption status (today): We use TLS in transit and server-side protections, but we do not provide end-to-end encryption for messages right now. If we add E2EE later, we’ll update these Terms/Privacy Policy. 3. Accounts & Security Keep your credentials confidential. You’re responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use. We may refuse, reclaim, or remove usernames that impersonate others or violate policy. 4. Your Content & Conduct Your Content includes pins, maps, messages, media, profiles, and other material you submit or create. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service, including backups, moderation, and technical delivery. You agree not to: Break laws, infringe IP, or violate privacy/rights. Post illegal, harassing, hateful, exploitative, doxxing, or sexually explicit content involving minors. Spam, phish, or try to hack, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service. Post others’ personal data without permission. Mislead about your identity or affiliation. Public vs Private: Public maps and posts may be visible to anyone. Private maps require membership; respect community rules and confidentiality. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or the law and may suspend accounts to protect users and the Service. 5. Community Roles & Governance Map/community owners/admins/mods can set local rules, review membership requests, and moderate relevant content within their maps. Groypin can still enforce these Terms platform-wide. 6. Location & Safety Pins and map activity can reveal location information. Consider what you share and with whom. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others; we do not run background checks. Use common sense and comply with local laws. 7. Intellectual Property Groypin owns the Service, software, and trademarks. Don’t copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our code or brand except as allowed by law or express written permission. If you believe your IP was infringed, email support@groypin.com with details (owner, work, material, location on Groypin, and a sworn statement). 8. Third-Party Services We may use service providers (e.g., email delivery, DNS/CDN, anti-abuse verification). Their use is described in our Privacy Policy. We’re not responsible for third-party sites you open from Groypin. 9. Fees Groypin may offer paid features later. If we do, we’ll post pricing and terms; taxes may apply. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. 10. Changes & Availability We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance. We may suspend or end the Service for maintenance, security, or business reasons. 11. Termination You may stop using the Service anytime and can request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations or risk to users/the Service. Some licenses and disclaimers survive termination. 12. Disclaimers THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES (INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT). WE DO NOT GUARANTEE CONTINUOUS OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR ACCURACY OF MAP DATA. 13. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. 14. Indemnity You’ll indemnify and hold Groypin harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or others’ rights. 15. Governing Law & Disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of [choose: Massachusetts, USA], excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in [Boston, MA] have exclusive jurisdiction. Arbitration (optional clause): If included, most disputes must be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis; no class actions. You can opt out within 30 days of account creation by emailing support@groypin.com. 16. Miscellaneous If a clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. No waiver unless in writing. You can’t assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer. Contact: support@groypin.com
